Seal bitumen roof with liquid plastic and fleece without tearing off

The weak points of the bitumen roof are clearly the seams and connections to other bitumen membranes and details such as skylights, RWA, chimneys, parapets, fans, etc.

The processing of the stiff material alone is very complex.

Brittleness caused by UV light, aging and temperature fluctuations quickly push the bitumen roof to its limits.

Overlaps of the bitumen sheets come loose, as do the weld seams on the abutting edges.

The bitumen roof has now had its day and needs to be reworked reliably, permanently and safely. Demolition is usually not necessary when sealing bitumen roofs with liquid plastic, which contributes significantly to cost savings compared to conventional methods.

Seal bitumen roof with liquid plastic details

After the bitumen flat roof has been carefully cleaned with pressurized water and dried, you can start sealing the flat roof details with liquid plastic and fleece

To do this, a generous amount of liquid plastic is applied to all connections and penetrations (easiest with a large brush or tassel), and then a precisely cut fleece is incorporated without bubbles. This work (a bit reminiscent of the handicraft lessons at school) must be carried out carefully and conscientiously.

Once this preparatory work has been completed, it makes it easier to later seamlessly integrate it into the overall area.

Seal bitumen roof with liquid plastic Preparatory work

Once all the preparatory work on sealing the bitumen roof with liquid plastic has been completed, you can now start sealing the flat roof with liquid plastic on the remaining flat roof.

It doesn't matter how big the area is.

This will now be reworked over the entire surface to be seamless and jointless with liquid plastic and fleece, without having to tear down the existing bitumen roof structure.

This creates a kind of “trough” on the flat roof as a flat roof seal without seams and joints. This flat roof seal is plasticizer-free, UV-resistant and does not become brittle in sunlight. The flat roof sealing with liquid plastic is breathable (open to diffusion) so that residual moisture can evaporate from the roof structure and the old bitumen roof continues to dry out.

Sealing bitumen roofs with liquid plastic is seamless, seamless and tight, right down to the smallest detail, of any size
